Dr. Spodak is a clinical psychologist in New York City where he maintains a private practice. He holds a Doctorate in Psychology from Yeshiva University and has a wide range of experience including working with severe and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, crisis intervention, individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic medical conditions and neuropsychological assessment. He has worked in different hospital settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine and psychiatric emergency room.
Dr. Spodak has supervised other mental health professionals, served as a consultant at a New York State hospital and lectured on topics including suicide risk assessment, psychological testing, mental status exams and HIV/AIDS. He has publications in the fields of HIV/AIDS and geropsychiatry.
